Riptides
Use caution — riptides may be present. If caught in a rip current, do not panic. Swim parallel to shore until the current weakens, then make your way back to the beach.

Rules & Guidelines
Fireworks & Fires Prohibited
Fireworks and fires are prohibited in Saco. Violators are subject to a fine of up to $400.
No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on the beach. Thank you for keeping Kinney Shores clean and enjoyable for everyone.
No Overnight Items
No personal items may be left on the beach overnight. All such items are subject to removal.
Dog Rules — Spring & Summer (Apr 1 – Sep 30)
Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 12 feet at all times. Dogs must be kept at least 100 feet from any marked piping plover or least tern nesting areas. (Saco City Code § 64-10)
Dog Rules — Fall & Winter (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
Dogs may be off-leash provided they remain under strict voice and sight control at all times. Leashes are still required in parking areas and when entering or exiting vehicles. (Saco City Code § 64-10)
Pet Waste
Handlers must clean up and properly dispose of all pet waste immediately. Failure to remove may result in a fine. (Saco City Code Chapter 64 – Animals, Article 2, §64-7) Disposal bags are located at many beach entrances.

Additional Notices
- We are a neighborhood watch community. Park in designated spots only. Violators will be ticketed or towed.
- April 1 to September 30 is Piping Plover and Least Tern nesting season. Dogs must be kept at least 100 feet from any marked nesting areas.
